Waiting

"Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait I say, on the LORD!" Psalm 27:14

Waiting on the LORD is hard. Sometimes we are waiting for direction, an answer, or a breakthrough from a tough situation.

When the Word tells us to "trust in the LORD with all your heart" it means we can rest knowing that our Father hears us. If we love Jesus and we are asking in His name we can know that the Father will answer. We can trust Him! We hold fast to His promises and remember that God is faithful.

I love getting to know people. In casual conversation I often ask what someone does for a living or what they enjoy as a hobby. We can let our occupation or hobby become our identity. When I was in high school I was a basketball player and am a dental hygienist now, but neither of those are my identity. My identity is in Christ. I am a child of God. So, if I am a child of God and I really understand the depths of what that means, I know that He loves me and will answer my prayers. When we know someone loves us we can trust them to do what's best for us.

God's goodness is poured out when we hear His voice and see the evidence of His presence in our circumstances. I pray today you "remain confident of this: that I will see the goodness of the LORD..." Hold fast. Encourage yourself. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep listening.

God loves you, He chose you, and He will answer.
