Hello
My name is Cheyenne Kizer. I am the creator and founder of Almond Blossom Ministries. I live in Gatesville, Texas with my husband, Ricky, and two precious kiddos, London & Rayce. I have had the opportunity to share God's love with others through ministry for over twenty years. My passion is to encourage, inspire, give hope and connect people to Jesus. My cup is filled when I am able to see them light up with hope for the next step in their journey. I am so excited that you have stopped by to learn a little more about us today!
My Story
I grew up in Gatesville with a large loving family, and the love they gave me propels me to want to share that with others. I have been a dental hygienist for twenty one years and see it as a daily ministry. God has allowed me to build some of the most precious friendships as I work and serve the community. My favorite part of being a hygienist and building relationships is having the privilege to hear untold testimonies from beautiful people. I have felt many times that I may have never met these great people if it hadn’t been for a blue dental chair at the end of the hall.
Some things you should know about me are I walk fast, I hug big and I laugh loud. My favorite season is autumn, but I love the flowers in spring. I love to read motivational and inspirational books, spend time with family and friends and talk about Jesus.
Our little family began 23 years ago when I married my high school sweetheart. Ricky proposed while we were fishing by hiding my ring in the tackle box! I married my best friend in December of 2001 and am so thankful to share life with him and our two amazing children. Ricky is a patient problem solver, hilarious and never meets a stranger. Our daughter, London, is creative, smart and witty. Rayce, our son, is adventurous, funny and an old soul.
We love to vacation together, work in the garden and have dinner around the table. Every vacation seems to have a Griswold element, but we keep traveling. Our three dogs, Trixie, Callie and Scout live with us and think they are human. Our church family is Grace Assembly Christian Church in Gatesville, Tx and we also have dear brothers and sisters in Christ from other churches in the community. We love our church family so much and love seeing how God transforms one heart at a time.
We believe it is good to laugh together and embrace the shenanigans of everyday life.

Meaning Behind the Name
Almond Blossom Ministries takes its name from Scripture where the Almond Blossom appears as a symbol of God’s presence, His calling, and His power to bring life.
In Exodus 25, God instructed Moses to build the tabernacle and include a lampstand with bowls shaped like Almond Blossoms. These held the oil that burned continually. Jesus later taught in Matthew 5 that we are the light of the world. Just as a lamp placed on a stand brings light to all in the house, our lives should shine in a way that reflects His love for others.
Numbers 17 gives a second picture. When each tribe placed a rod before the Lord, Aaron’s rod miraculously produced blossoms and ripe almonds. This showed he was chosen by God. The Almond Blossom became a sign of life, purpose, and God’s ability to bring fruit where none existed.
Almond Blossom Ministries exists with that same heart. Our mission is to share God’s love, carry His light, and remind His children that they are chosen. We believe God still brings life where things look broken. We believe in the redeeming power of Jesus and the presence of the Holy Spirit. We count it a privilege to carry His presence and share it with the world.
