Faith Will Not Fail

"And the Lord said, Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren." Luke 22:31-32

I absolutely love this scripture! It's packed with the reminder that the Lord knows the sifting, pruning, temptation and failures we will go through, but He is our High Priest and is praying for His people! He prayed that Simon's faith would not fail. He knew that he would face self condemnation, grief, disappointment and shame. Jesus prayed that his FAITH would not fail! Jesus also spoke to the redeemed Simon Peter before any of it ever happened! Jesus KNEW that Simon would make it through it and that he would be used to build the Kingdom and strengthen other believers...even us today. I LOVE THIS! I love knowing that even though I mess up, God can use it for good. He can use it to strengthen my faith, to show me His glory, to give others hope.

In the midst of our battles we cannot lose faith. Faith that God is love. Faith that He cares for us and has a promise and plan for us. Faith that He will give us strength and grace as we walk with Him. Faith that though we may not see 2 seconds into our future our faith in who He is will not fail!

One of my favorite documentations of Jesus loving people is when He restored Peter by the fire. Jesus squashed all the lies of the enemy by having Simon Peter speak his love for Jesus. What a beautiful Savior we have! Oh, how His love changes EVERYTHING!

Today I pray that you know He is praying for you! Know that He sees your past, present and future, and He loves you at every point! I ask the Lord to strengthen your faith! I declare in Jesus' Name that your faith will not fail...He will complete the work He has started in your life!
