"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
Can we just celebrate this scripture?
No matter what happened last year, no matter what happens this year, and no matter how we FEEL, we cannot be separated from the love of God through Jesus.
Often, we feel God's love for us is conditional, but it is not. Truly all He wants is our heart. He wants us to love Him! Even after David's greatest mistake he was still a man after God's own heart. He repented and made sure his heart was right with the Lord. Peter denied Jesus and the restoration was Jesus asking Peter if he loved Him. How often do we think that we have messed up one too many times? Surely the Lord has turned His back. No. He loves us and wants His children to be restored to a love relationship with Him!
"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?" Romans 8:31-32
Let's start this year off with our hearts right! Let's thank Him for the goodness of 2024 before we even see it! Let's thank Him that no matter what comes our way He is by our side and loves us! I pray today you feel strong knowing that you are a child of God, you are clothed in righteousness, and have the Holy Spirit inside of you to lead and guide you! You are loved!
