Overwhelming Grace

"And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.." John 1:16

I find that the grace of God is overwhelming. Grace refers to the times He gives us something we don't deserve. At the top of the list is eternal life, but there are so many gifts and blessings that He gives us along the way and we haven't done anything to deserve them. He gives them to us anyway.

I met the most beautiful young lady recently. Her beautiful dark hair made her clear blue eyes look like diamonds. I quickly learned she was as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She has a testimony of being healed physically, but as we chatted she shared that she almost feels guilty because others have not been healed from cancer. How and why would God allow her to be healed and not them? My only answer to her was that God's grace is overwhelming. We don't understand the undeserved gifts and graces He gives us sometimes. However, I do know that those become our testimony, and it is an opportunity to share His goodness with others. When we share what He has done for us it builds faith in others and He gets the glory.

There have been many moments as an adult where I see how my whole life is made up of the undeserved grace of God. I have done nothing to deserve some of my greatest blessings. What can we do with this overwhelming feeling? We praise Him with thanksgiving and we share His goodness and love with the world.

I pray today that you see His grace in your life. I pray that He will open the eyes of your heart to see where He has protected you, provided for you, and loved you through seasons when you didn't even see it. I pray that the love you feel from Him will pour out onto the world around you. You see, our Father is good, kind, His love is perfect, and He deserves the glory!

Love you my friends!
