I was seven when my brother was born. I was so happy to share life with him and I remember how funny I thought he was.
Now we are grown and I still get tickled listening to him tell stories!
In a conversation about loving our siblings, I was explaining to my daughter the other day how there’s this unsaid rule or standard that says, “it’s ok for me to say something negative about my sibling, but it’s not ok for you to”. This makes me laugh, but it is so often true!
I was reading in Mark where Jesus replies to someone, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.”
I was thinking how I want King Jesus on my side! I want to be a good little sister to Him and I love that He is my Savior, Redeemer and big Brother in the Kingdom.
What if we really embraced that we are joint heirs, that we are grafted in and will sit at the Table as a family member.
It’s the perfect family!
Today, let’s meditate on His Word and receive that Jesus is our FAMILY. Revelation refers to the devil as the accuser of the brethren. The enemy may be lying to you today, falsely accusing you of not being good enough, not being loved, not being worthy or even telling you it’s hopeless.
Just like you would not be okay for someone to lie about your loved ones, know that King Jesus has won the battle because He is not ok with it either.
