Comfort

"In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul." Psalm 94:19

Do you ever have that anxious feeling in your stomach? It can be the fear of the unknown, the unsettled feeling of reality, or maybe just the discomfort of transition between seasons.

Each of us have unique lives and challenges, and what feels like a mountain for one may just be an ant hill for another. God's promises are not affected by the size of our problem. His promises are what we cling to in the midst of the physical or emotional storm. God is a promise keeper! "For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." 2 Corinthians 1:20 It is so important we cling to His promises. He will never leave us, He has plans for us, His grace is sufficient in weakness, He gives strength to the weary, He will meet all our needs according to His riches, and so many more!

The Holy Spirit is our Comforter. We need the counsel and help of the Holy Spirit to comfort us in times of anxiousness. Jesus told His disciples that He was sending the Helper, the Holy Spirit, and that He would bring to remembrance all the things Jesus said to them. I want to encourage you today to let the Spirit of God comfort you and remind you of His promises to you. Friend, if you aren't holding onto any of His promises then get into the Word and find "delight for you soul"!
