Loved

“No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.” 1 John 4:12

When I think of someone that has a gift of making others feel special, I think of Vickie. She was a precious woman I knew from church that truly had the joy of the Lord. It didn’t matter what was going on in her life, she wanted to make sure you felt loved. I can remember as a young adult trying to be intentional to make her feel special and I would walk away saying to myself, “She did it again. She turned it around and made me feel special.” She was a light in this world and I know the day she went Home to be with Jesus He said, “Well done!” She was a shining reflection of the love of God.

I must ask, are we loving people like this? How do people feel when we walk away?

Jesus left people better than He found them. After an encounter with Jesus people couldn’t help but tell others what He did in their life! He had compassion, He loved, He fed and He healed minds and bodies. It’s such a blessing and privilege when God gives us people that love big here on earth, but no one compares to the love Jesus has for us.

I want to encourage you today to spend enough time with Him in the secret place that when you leave you’re better than when you arrived. We can’t live a fast pace life, making little to no time for Him and expect that He will squeeze Himself into our schedule to just be who we need Him to be. We must sacrifice time to spend with Him so we can be refreshed, corrected, loved and healed! I pray today you make time for Him and that you allow His great love to pour into your heart!
